Birmingham City Games

A small contingent of athletes travelled to the National Indoor Arena, now known as the Barclaycard Arena, in Birmingham for the City Games.



Sophia Martin tested herself for next weekend's National Indoor Age Group Championships in Sheffield with a very good run over the U17 60m Hurdles. She was rewarded with a PB of 9.56 secs.


Sister Alexia also with Sheffieled in mind ran her third fasstest ever 60m hurdles race in 10.17 secs in the U15 age group.


In the High Jump, Rhys Arnold (Chiltern Harriers) recorded another consistent effort in the U17 age group where he leapt to a PB equalling 1.70 metres, the second time in both of his outings this year and his third time ever. And also in the High Jump, Lois Logan recorded a seasons best of 1.40m as a U15 competitior.


In the sprints, Kai Peryman (Cookham Runners) ran just outside of his best with a clocking of in the 60m,
