ANOTHER SUPERB MINITHON

Yet again the Lee Valley Athletics centre promoted Minithon provided some superb entertainment and competition for budding new athletes making their first steps in our sport. As always the athlete focused organisation mixed with lively and welcoming atmosphere proved a real hit with athletes and parents.

Michael Emmanuel made a great start with decisive wins in each of his events the 60m, 200m and 600m.

Woody Hamilton-Hurst was also in superp form especially in the High Jump. Woody needed to make a significant change in his HJ run up having grown several inches in recent months. And the new mark worked a treat as he added a massive 12 cms to his PB to achieve 1.43m.

He was also in good form in both the 60m Hurdles and 600m.

Alecxander Eldridge was also in great form in the High Jump where he made a great debut with a best leap of 1.28m using the Scissors Technique.

We will have a full report on all the action as soon a s the full results are published - so watch this space for more on the following athletes who made such a magnificent start to the new season.
