Updated: Aug 30, 2022

Lilianne Jervis-Allan added to her season's growing medal haul with another National Championship award.

Lilianne took third in the England Athletics Age Group U15 Pole Vault at Bedford on Sunday in 3.02 m , her second best ever height.

Previously this year she had won bronze at the English Schools Championships in Manchester and also captured bronze at the South of England Championships..

She finishes the season a t a consistent third spot the UK / Power of 10 rankings with a 3.10 best. .

Also at the weekend, a mall contingent of squad athletes travelled to the impressive Sonnex Stadium, home to Saracens in Barnet, London for the London InterClub Challenge, a multi age Graded Open Meet.

Ffion Harmon (Chiltern Harriers U15) had a very specific goal in mind for the day - to set a new best time in the 200m, her previous efforts blighted by bad luck and falls, And she succeeded in some style reduced her mark by five secs to 28.84 secs.

She also clocked a very good 4.21m in the Long Jump, a very frustrating single centimetre off her best. However, this was a brave effort as it came off her final attempt in a series of very marginal fouls.

Later she threw the Javelin 16m, jus a metre short of her best.

Also in action were Abigail Masters (Chiltern Harriers U15) , getting her best jump in the Long Jump of 4.05m only minutes after crossing the finish line in the 100m

For all of the 100m sprinters, Masters, Eva Carsberg (Cookham, U15) and Aaliyah Cain (Chiltern Harriers, U17) the strong headwind ruled out any chance of PBs but all the athletes ran strongly to wrap up busy and successful seasons
