Phoebe Anderson (Herne Hill Harriers) clinched her first title of the new year with a win in the U20 age group of the Bucks AA County Cross-Country Champs held in conjunction with the Bedfordshire Champs at Shuttleworth Park, Bedford. The Wycombe Abbey student led home U20 athletes from Bucks and Bedfordshire.
Also in great form to start the year was James Palmer (above left) r to run as storming race in the U17 Men's event. James finished a superb fourth in the age group and, as second of the Chiltern Harriers athletes home, earned his first ever county Team medal as the Harriers won the age group.
There many other fine runs to get the year off in style. Maddi Rae (WSEH) clocked up her best County position of seventh putting herself in line for county selection in the U15 age group. She was strongly supported by two of our Chiltern athletes Amber Galley on her club cross-country debut in 10th and Annie Hilton in 13th.
Also i action were: in the U13 Boys, Rory Hilton who came 12th; in the U13 Girls, Alice Peckham 20th, Jo Snelling 25th and Elizabeth Nickless 28th. And also in the U15 Boys, Felix Palmer came 22nd, Jerry Anderson 25th and John Nickless 27th.
