Flying the squad colours in style and very impressively the siblings from the Hilton and Nickless families opened the year at the Lee Valley Athletics Centre at the traditional New Years Day Open Meet.
Rory and Annabelle Hilton and Elizabeth Nckless ended up sharing the same heat of the 800m. Rory making his track and indoor debut impressed with both a seecond placing and a time of 2 mins 56.66 secs. Sister Annabelle improved her best time for the disrimproved her best ever time for the distance by almost 20 seconds and broke 3 mins for the first time with a clocking of 2 mins 59.39 secs.
Also making his indoor debut was Ruben Kapoor. Ruben
tried out both the 60m and 200m. In the shorter race he set PBs of 9.85 and 9.94 secs. In the one lap race he clocked a time of 33.14 secs.
