Cross-Country Round Up

Busy weekend of Cross-Country including what is by now the traditional clash of thesecond rounds of the English Schools cup and the Chiltern League. At stake in the ESAA XC was qualifying spot in the national finals while the Chiltern League also featured many guest athletes competing in the UK Cross Challenge.

ESAA Cup Round 2

Wycombe High Junior Girls produced a superb showing at the Rehional Round of the English Schools Cross-Country Cup at Lincroft Middle School, Bedford.

They finished a brilliant seventh place with four of the five athletes only in Year 7 and another year to go in this age group in this competition. Their actual placings were : Lyra Browning (17th), Isabelle Walker (19th), Joanna Snelling ( 29), Sophia Lomas (30) and Aashni Manek (41).

In the overall CrossChallenge event he finished 26th from over a 100 athletes while his over all Chiltern League placing appears to about sixth in a time of 14 mins 25 secs.

Living up to the Coaching Team's expectations he produced a superb run and improvement in the latest Chiltern League race. With many guest athletes featuring as the race was run in conjunction with the UK Cross Challenge where he finished 49th from over 100 athletes.
