Phoebe Wins National Relays Medal

Phoebe Anderson realised her ambition of securing a National Cross-Country medal as she stormed through a great leg in the ECCA Cross-Country Relays at Berry Park, Mansfield.

Competing in the colours of Herne Hill Harriers, the Wycombe Abbey student followed up her SEAA bronze with National Gold.

She took over on the second leg from Yasmin Marghini in the lead and held that position and improved her margin with the fastest second leg time of the day 9 mins oo.85 secs.

With Charlotte Alexander on the anchor also recording the fastest leg of the day for the third team member there was no chance of the HHH trio being run down.

Phoebe's time was also the 12th fastest leg of the day in the U17 Ladies section from over 200 athletes.
