A mix of events and surfaces (Cross-country, road and Indoor boards) this weekend as a small number of athletes were in action at venues nationwide and overseas.

Phoebe Anderson(U17) (Wycombe Abbey) in her new club colours of Herne Hill Harriers, produced a great run in the SEAA Cross-Country Relays to record the fourth fastest time of the day at Wormwood Scrubs on Sat (Oct 20th). Taking over in thelead the lead on the second leg of the 3 x 2500m course, Phoebe extended her clubs advantage with a time of 8 mins 11 secs. However, Blackheath and Bromley were to come through strongy on the final leg and managed to take the title with an advantage of 7 seconds.

However, Phoebe's debut in the the red and black hoops saw her return with a well deserved silver medal.

Meanwhile. in Cambridge, Matt Hinde was in action in the Cambridge Town & Gown 10km race producing a massive PB for the distance. He had previously clocked a time of 39:30 but this weekend slashed that by almost four minutes as he moved up into a very impressive 15th place from 2018 finishers in a time of 35:34. His next competitive outings will be the Met League on November 10th followed by the traditional Oxford Vs Cambridge Varsity clash on November 24th.
