Jules & Bucks take National titles

Julietee MacDougall reprsed her victory of two years ago at the National Primary Schools and Year 7 Cross-Country Champs when she once again won the individual title, this time in the Year 7 age group. The event, held in tough sticky muddy conditions at Prestwold Hall, Loughborough, once again attracted large etries in better temperatures than recent meets.


Jules took am early lead in the race and managed to retain a cushion of five cear seconds over the silver medallists to the end. Her individual win was also a key element in the overall Team Award for the bucks Swans with a very strong representation from the Squad in action.


Bea Robinson of Chiltern Harriers was th e fourth Bucks scorer in 17th place. She was followed by recent squad joiners: Martha Thomas ( Wycombe Abbey) in 23rd and Emma Blake (Sir William Bprlase) in 24th complete the scoring six securing 83 poins. This was a great leap forward for Emma having finished 10th at the Bucks Schools XC Champs, now jumping up to sixth scorer.


Alo in action for the winning Bucks Swans were Holly Knott (Great Marlow) who improves with every race and was rewarded this time with a superb 42nd. Sorya Roughton also earned a team medal for Bucks finishing 96th,


Wycombe Abbey also had two individual athletes taking part wth with Alice Nartin finishing 37th ad Eleanor Frost in 58th.
